Position Summary:
Responsible for verifying the retrieved charts, eliminate all the errors and present it with extensive technical specifications, within the prescribed turnaround time. The nature of the work performed is repetitive or patterned, requiring extensive depth of experience. Summary
Must be a Graduate with 2+years of experience in Medical Transcription and should be able to understand various kinds of reports in a medical record and identify the possible errors with respect to relevant information of a patient.
Job Responsibilities:
Verifying the accuracy of patient information such as name, DOB and identification number.
Verifying the accuracy of transcription for correct punctuation, grammar and spelling.
Delivering Charts with a minimum accuracy of 95%.
Delivering finished reports to designated persons for approval.
Essential Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, signs and symptoms, medications, and laboratory values. Knowledge of specialty (or specialties) as appropriate.
Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices.
Proven skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation, style, and editing.
Minimum 2 years' experience in Medical Transcription Environment.

Ability to establish priorities, demonstrate discipline and independent judgment.
Ability to recognize the diminutive errors.
Ability to concentrate for long hours.
Interpersonal/human relations skills.
Verbal and written communication skills.
